Both above pics are April as an early yearling, June, 2007
Directly below on right is April on June 30th, 2008
At right--April is proving to be quite the athlete, just like her momma, and she's got her momma's hip too! You can't ask for a prettier filly.
This filly is super fancy, nice legged and a pretty mover. She has an easy going canter and a naturally relaxed way of going. Apil always tries to please, which is evident in how fast she is learning and moving along in her training. She carries and expresses the sabino gene, making her likely to throw a lot of white on her babies.  She was 15.2hh at 24 months and string tests to 16.1hh so I have no doubt in my mind she is going to be a fabulous hunt seater just like her grandma. April is a very well balanced 2 y.o. and strong enough to start heavier training.  April has the breeding and the size to make a great HUS or barrel horse.
Pictured below left is April at 3 months with her momma, Too Tuff For Luck a 1D barrel horse.  Below right in the red halter and below that in the field is her momma at 5 years old.
~A little history behind April~
Pictured to the left is April's sire's mother, her paternal granddam, and my beloved show horse for 8 years--Bugs Lighting Lass aka Lass. Due to life changes, I sold this mare a few years ago, and I kick myself every day for doing so. She was the greatest hunt seat horse I've had the pleasure of owning. She moved like an elegant TB and had the dispostion of a QH. I bred her to a foundation QH and got Ruger who is the sire of April. (Ruger is now a gelding) Anyway, I already see the resemblence of April to Lass in many ways and I think she is going to be another great one. I would be keeping April and her sire Ruger so as to keep the legacy of Lass, but due to financial and many other reasons, they are sadly for sale and will be missed when they are gone. April is the first and so far, the only foal from Ruger. I do have another mare in foal which will be April's half-sibling, due August 17, 2008, which will be the 3rd and last foal from Ruger. The second foal was born April 26, 2008 and was put to sleep the early hours of April 28, 2008 due to compilcations from head trauma and being septic.
